Effective 8 September 2026. Court Guide is responsible for the information it collects through this website. Use our contact form for privacy requests.
Browsing and searches
The website does not require an account. We do not add advertising cookies. Optional Google Analytics is described below. The hosting provider processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and security logs, to deliver and protect the site. Search terms appear in request URLs and may be present in those logs; avoid entering private case details.
A full postcode search is sent from our server to Postcodes.io to obtain geographic coordinates. Court and provider searches use our directory database. We do not link searches to a personal account.
Optional Google Analytics
With your consent, Google Analytics measures page visits and browser and device information to help us improve the site. The Google tag is not loaded before you accept analytics. Analytics is excluded from search pages, contact pages and URLs containing query strings. Advertising signals are disabled. For search-engine attribution we pass only recognized search-engine origins, never referring-page paths or query strings.
Analytics may set cookies named _ga and _ga_* for up to 180 days, with their expiry renewed during use. We remember your accept or reject choice in this browser’s local storage for 180 days. You can change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer; rejecting analytics stops it and removes these analytics cookies.
Google processes analytics information under its own privacy arrangements. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Analytics is optional and the directory works if you reject it.
Contact messages
The contact form collects your name, email address, optional page URL and message. Netlify processes and stores submissions for Court Guide, including spam checks. We use this information to respond to queries, review corrections and protect the service. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating the directory and handling enquiries.
Messages are retained while needed to handle the query and maintain an appropriate correction record. Please do not send confidential legal documents, criminal allegations, payment details or other sensitive case information.
Public directory information
Business contact details and registration information are obtained from the sources identified on each listing. If you believe a public listing contains inaccurate personal information, contact us and the source publisher.
Service providers and links
Embedded maps request tiles from OpenStreetMap when loaded, sharing ordinary connection information such as your IP address with that service. Firm summaries and public professional team details are produced from firms’ websites using OpenAI through Netlify AI Gateway, with automated source checks. Visitor searches and contact messages are not sent to this enrichment service.
We use Netlify for hosting and contact forms, Supabase for the directory database, and GitHub for code and data-refresh jobs. Providers may process operational information internationally under their applicable data-protection arrangements. External directions and source links open third-party services, which have their own privacy notices.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to processing or request a restriction. Contact us with enough detail to identify your request. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
